Game 11 - Tuesday, June 20th
Tonight was a rematch against Haysville #2. The team we tied earlier in the season. Coming into tonight, this team was undefeated.
The machine, which was the other teams machine, was hard to get dialed in. It took an inning before it was throwing nice. Thankfully the other team's pitcher had the same issue.
Phoebe hit great tonight going 2 for 2. The first hit scored a run.
It took more games than I would have liked, but she is now hitting great.
Phoebe played 2nd, Shortstop, 3rd, and the outfield. She did a great job paying attention and fielding balls that came to her, setting a good example for others to follow on her team.
So the other team did not leave with a loss tonight, but neither did we. We tied again, 5-5. We had one bad inning where we gave up 5 runs. The rest of the time we played well, especially our hitting. One more game.
Game 12 - Thursday, June 22nd
It's our last game (Haysville #3) of the year and we saved our best for last.
Phoebe and I took a picture before the game started.
Phoebe hit great going 3 for 3. She finished the season a great hitter.
Phoebe played 2nd, short stop, 3rd, and outfield.
It was Kali's birthday and we all sang her Happy Birthday between innings. (Kali and her dad, Coach BJ, pictured together, above.)
We hadn't scored 5 runs in an inning all year and we scored 5 runs in each of our last 2 innings of this game.
Who is that coach who has lost 30 pounds? Looking good.
Uncle Matt, Popee, and Nanee all were able to make it to Phoebe's last game of the season.

We won 11-6 finishing 7 wins, 3 losses, and 2 ties. Our 3 losses were each by 1 run.
Ice Cream Party!
After the game we went to Braums for our end of the year team party.
Below, the siblings of team members sat at a table together too.
Top right to left: Kali, Phoebe, Chloe, Alli, Ilysia, Kaelie
Bottom right to left: Haylee, Kylie, Jada, Gabby
We called up each girl individually for medals and also gave them each a picture album that Stacee made.
Below, we had five girls on our team who had big sisters on Sarah's team. Sibling pairs, front row left to right, Madilynn and Chloe, Rhyan and Kali. Middle and back row, left to right, Kylie and Quinn, Phoebe and Sarah, Gabby and Hannah. Oh look, a little photo bomber on the left... Silas!
It was a fun year and our girls were really getting it together at the end of the year. Coach BJ, Coach Kris, and I are looking forward to coaching together again next year.
