Sarah Softball - Week 6 - Game 12

Game 12 - Monday, June 19th

Well, it is our last regular season game.  We are playing Mulvane #3 in Mulvane. 

Above, we are having pre-game pop flies.  The girls really like to play this game.

Sarah hit the ball great tonight.  She hit a hard ground ball past the shortstop and a hard line drive double to left center.  The double was hit when the bases were loaded so 3 runs scored.  She also walked.

Hannah had a rough time at the mound.  I think the major issue is the rubber was about twice as wide as a normal rubber and it was high off the dirt.  We could see that she was having trouble getting her feet right.

Sarah played 1st and 3rd base.

I like to sit with the girls when it is their time to sit the bench on defense.  Here I am sitting with my favorite girl on the team.

Similar to Hannah, Quinn struggled.  We are going to blame it on the rubber.

We won the game 15-11.  We finish the regular season 10-2 with our only losses to the mighty Winfield team. (Our team will get the bid from Haysville to play in the upcoming State tournament.)  I hope we get one final shot at Winfield at the State tournament.

Our post game talk focused on getting ready for the State tournament

Uncle Matt, Nanee, and Popee all came to watch the game.
