Sarah continued to do well on her weekly spelling tests. We studied together at home the night before the tests.
She and a friend completed a report on Quilts of Valor and then gave the report to their class. She worked hard on this report and enjoyed learning about this organization. Click on the following link to learn more about Quilts of Valor by looking at their website....

Sarah tells us that she doesn't like math very much, but she does well in it. Once she understands a concept, then she has it down.
All of the fourth graders took several music and instrument tests in their music class towards the end of the year.
Sarah brought home another fantastic report card! Way to go Sarah!
Sarah's favorite things about her fourth grade school year...
School Subject - Reading
Book - Winnie the Horse Gentler
Game - UNO
Field Trip - going to the zoo
Art Activity - the paper flower
Lunch Food - Italian Dunkers
On the next to the last day of school we went on a school wide field trip to the zoo. I haven't gone in the past, but both Phoebe and Sarah wanted me to go with them this year. So we walked around the zoo and ate lunch together and with some of our school friends. It was a good day.
Below, Sarah helping our little friend, Gavin, get an up close look at the Penguins.

The most hilarious moments of the day was when we were all looking at the Camels. They made a growly Camel noise and our friend, Jenny, would make the noise back and vice versa. This went on back and forth for about 5 minutes, a Camel growl and then a Jenny growl... Then we we all would erupt in laughter.
On the last day of school there is a school talent show. The fourth grade classes sang the song "Friends Forever" together.
Sarah you had a super fourth grade year. You worked hard on assignments, completed your work on time, and put in extra effort to make reports and projects the very best you could. You tried hard to be a good friend to your classmates and set a good example. You are a good leader and role model for all of the children you are around. Below, last day of school picture, Sarah last day of fourth grade and Phoebe last day of first grade.
